I hope this
email finds you well. My name is Amy and I am the Operations Manager here at
the Riverside Arts Market!
Many of you may be familiar with our Market, but for those of you that are not,
we are a weekly arts and farmers market, located under the Fuller Warren Bridge
in downtown Jacksonville. Each week, we feature 100 to 150 vendors and offer a
variety of free to the public performances such as live music, magic shows,
dance shows, and more.
I am emailing
to see if you might have students looking for community service hours? If any
of your students are looking for community service hours, we would love to have
them join us one Saturday! Among other things, RAM volunteers help with market
set up, water and merchandise sales, booth breaks for our artists, site
beautification, and equipment breakdown. We encourage volunteers to sign up
with a friend and come out for a morning, afternoon, or full day shift. Market
opens at 10am and closes at 4pm and shifts are flexible.
Students can
sign up for a shift through Sign Up
Genius or by emailing us at volunteers@riversideartsmarket.com.
Please let me
know if you would be willing to share this opportunity with your students. I am
happy to answer any questions and provide additional info as needed.
